 Women in Ministry: Part 4

Neta West King does not get paid for what she does. And yet, there is no doubt that she ministers! As I read her story, I wept and rejoiced with her at her life’s journey. You will too!

My Life’s Journey

Becoming like Christ is a lifelong process. It’s different for everyone depending on life’s experiences; parents, backgrounds, and many other events that occur during our lifespan that shape us into who we become as an adult. Five major experiences have molded me into a person deeply desiring to be like Christ. I am certainly not saying that I am all Christ wants me to be today, but I am striving for that goal.

For me, I don’t remember hearing the word “God” mentioned during the first twelve years of my life. My mother married my dad when she was 16 and my dad was 20 years old. It was a marriage that was more out of necessity than love. As a result, our home was filled with chaos. My dad came from a home with five boys and an alcoholic father. All five of the boys became alcoholics. My mother came from a home that was stable and loving. All I can remember as a child was
