Our Father in heaven, may your name always be kept holy. May your kingdom come and what you want be done, here on earth as it is in heaven. Give us the food we need for each day. Forgive us for our sins, just as we have forgiven those who sinned against us. And do not cause us to be tempted, but save us from the Evil One. Prayer: Part 2
A Wife’s Love – A Story of Faith in Prayer

What is important to you? Important enough to pray about every single day? Day in, day out. Without fail. What is that important to you?

I would like to introduce you to Fred and Octava Fike. Dr. Fike married Octava in 1945, and often said, “She was the best thing that ever happened to me.” During their nearly 66 years of marriage, they spent 41 years in full-time pastoral ministry, another eight in administrative ministry, and still another 17 years serving as pulpit fulfillment, evangelism, in missions and any other way the Lord asked them to serve. Theirs was a life of service to God, His kingdom, and to one another. Sister Fike, who will be 98 in December relays this story.

“Fred was in Bible School and walked the many miles to school each term. He was a dedicated student. Finally the day came when he graduated and we were married. On our wedding night, I prayed this prayer: ‘Lord, keep us close to one another and
